Send a photo of your First 285 and I'll add your boat to this website. It's a great place to have a photo so you can show your friends and relatives your boat. http://www.virtualpresents.com will let you send any photo on the net, including your sailboat to anyone else as a postcard.

I found this boat down in the Virgin Islands. I told the seller
to get it to Houston, I would take it there! About 4 weeks later
I had a boat. I live in Dallas and sail on a small lake. She
needed some work when I got her home. I attached a pic of her
before the work began. (It's a little dark). She is on the water
now, but still awaiting sails. Fortunately I did get to sail
her for a few days while in the islands. I'll have to get some
more pictures. She is much improved....New decals, etc. Larry Ford "yachta yachta yachta" |

Jack Oden sails his First 285 on Galveston Bay and down the Texas coast to Corpus Christi. We are currently catamaran sailors and this is our first mono-hull. We have finnally gotten some photos of the our First285. We have renamed it Promise. We had a renaming ceremony last weekend and of course a great party afterwards. We now have everything redone on the boat except we have not completely finished the teak work and we just received the window seals and new Truss bolts for the windows. We have sailed it at least twice a week since we bought it. |

Adam and Kath just bought a First 285. We bought our First 285 home last weekend and are now busy getting the boat up to scratch. I've attached a couple of photos from last weekend when we sailed it home.We were sailing the boat home across Tampa bay in the photos. We will usually spend most of our time sailing the gulf of Mexico. |
