Sunset in Halifax and the showers can't be far away.

Jiann gets ready for shore leave! Where's that restaurant?

'Little Wing' resting at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron in Halifax, NS.

I've visited several Yacht Clubs, but this is the nicest one I've ever visited. I'll be back someday for a longer visit.

We missed the 'Marblehead to Halifax' Yacht race by a week, but we got here for the last of the party.

The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron. The oldest Yacht Club in North America.

They have a fleet of yacht cradles because it's cold up here and they can only sail 5 or 6 months a year.

They have a racing fleet of small keelboats as well as a sailing school on the property. The club house is visible in the background.

The sailing school was having class while we were there.

Here's the senior instructor doing something nautical. I have no idea what, but since it's a sailing school it must be something nautical...

They use a rail system to raise and lower the boats onto cradles each time they need to be removed from the ocean.

They have a great staff at the Yacht Squadron and if you ever visit, try 'Harpoon' beer on tap at the bar.

This young lady is very overdressed for the yacht club. <big evil grin> Click the picture for a more detailed view and read the sign...

Ok, we were going outside to get a scenic photo when I was distracted by the sign. This is the photo I intended to take. The flower stump was in full bloom and it was beautiful.

'Little Wing' consorts with yachts from the Yacht Squadron.

Toward the sea, large ships enter the harbor while small sailboats swing at their moorings.

An overall view of the sailing school, fuel dock, and the clubhouse.

Life is beautiful at the Yacht Squadron!

Race day at sailing school. Only don't fall in the water, it was freezing!

The only thing better than being out of school for the summer, is spending the summer at Sailing School!

One last view of the races. I had a great day!
